The Jan. 9 robbery of a woman as she left an Upper Arlington McDonald's is this week's Crime of the Week in the Central Ohio Crime Stoppers program.

According to police reports, as she left the McDonald's at Fishinger Road and Riverside Drive just after 1:30 p.m., a female employee was approached by a man who demanded her packages and purse. She surrendered them and he fled.

The man was armed with a small silver handgun.

A description of the suspect was developed through witness accounts and store security video. He is a black male in his mid 30s, about 5-foot-4 to 5-6 and of medium build with a goatee and mustache. He is either missing a tooth or has a gap in the upper left side of his mouth.

He was wearing black pants, a black jacket with gray pattern and a black knit cap.

Crime Stoppers has posted a reward of up to $2,000 for information received by Feb. 4 that results in the arrest and/or indictment of the person responsible for this crime. Anyone with information may call Crime Stoppers at 645-TIPS (8477) or e-mail www.stopcrime.org.
