Who was the best high-school athlete in central Ohio during the winter sports season? Viewers of Time Warner Cable will get to decide.

Time Warner and ThisWeek Community Newspapers have teamed up for the first Athlete of the Season competition. ThisWeek selected the top performers in nine sports, and those nine will be featured on Time Warner Cable Local On Demand Channel 1111 from now until April 15. The athlete who receives the most votes will win $500 for his or her school's athletics boosters. Each view is worth one vote.

Tune into Local On Demand Channel 1111 and select the "Viewer's Choice" tab.

The nine athletes are: Northland's Jared Sullinger (boys basketball), Pickerington Central's Emilee Harmon (girls basketball), Westerville North's Josh Demas (wrestling), Olentangy Liberty's Doug Kouskouris (hockey), Dublin Coffman's Hailey Fairchild (gymnastics), Upper Arlington's Eric Huffman (boys swimming), Watterson's Gracie Finnegan (girls swimming), Pickerington North's Ryan Gorring (boys bowling) and Westerville Central's Mary Wells (girls bowling).

Junior Emily Bradley, an Upper Arlington graduate, is playing for the Ohio Wesleyan softball team. Bradley, who plays first and second base, batted .309 last season and tied for second in the NCAC with 16 steals.
