Lisa Pierce Reisz of Upper Arlington has been named president of the board of directors of the Legal Aid Society of Columbus.

Lisa Pierce Reisz of Upper Arlington has been named president of the board of directors of the Legal Aid Society of Columbus.

The society is a nonprofit regional law firm that provides legal representation for low-income individuals and senior citizens.

Reisz is a partner in the office of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP, where she is a member of the health care and litigation practice groups. She is the firm's pro bono coordinator and has performed hundreds of hours of pro bono legal work.

Reisz has served as a Guardian Ad Litem for CASA of Franklin County since 1996, and also serves on several professional committees.

She received her juris doctorate summa cum laude from the Ohio State University College of Law and her bachelor's degree cum laude from Harvard University.

Upper Arlington resident Dan Ryan has been named vice president of business development at Aitken and Associates advertising agency in Columbus.

Ryan was previously employed with Saga Communications and Radiohio.

He was the 2005 winner of the Advertising Federation's Kress Award for Outstanding Radio Salesperson while at Saga's Sunny 95. Ryan was also named Salesperson of the Year at the New York Times Regional Newspaper Group in Santa Rose, Calif., in 1990.

Ryan holds a bachelor of education degree in radio and television communications from Ohio State University.
