All of us tell stories of the days when our game wasn't the best, our team didn't win, but we sure had a great time. Some golfers even got to see nature at its best when coming up on their next hole; standing near the hole was a mother deer nursing her young.

"Nothing like a National Geographic moment while taking a swing to create lasting memories," said Alberta Burke, with University Plaza Hotel, as she snapped the photo.

"We asked for sunny skies, not too hot, not too cold, but we forgot to mention calm winds," said Becky Hajost, chamber president. High winds on the Scarlet didn't dampen anyone's effort's to go for the prize. It was a friendly competition - a day filled with good networking, good food and good fun.

The classic was brought to you by the chamber and made possible by sponsors and volunteers.

We would like to take a moment to thank the Arlington Bank, Arlingworth Health Inc., Huffman's Market, Atchley Signs, Dave Gill Chevrolet and Dave DeCapua. It would not have been possible with out the support, efforts and contributions of the golf committee and co-chairs.

"The chamber offered a unique opportunity to those non-OSU golf members to play on the Scarlet, whether you are member of the chamber or not," saidMatt Rappolt with Gardiner Allen DeRoberts and golf co-chair.
If you missed out, we'll call this year a mulligan, and see you on the green next year.
