Kenneth Pierce of Upper Arlington has been appointed to the board of directors of National Church Residences.

Kenneth Pierce of Upper Arlington has been appointed to the board of directors of National Church Residences.

His appointment marks his return to the NCR board, where he served two previous stints as chair, most recently from 2005-07. Pierce has served on the NCR board for more than 30 years.

Pierce was employed as vice president and chief financial officer of The Dispatch Printing Company until his retirement in 1999. He is a 1955 graduate of the Ohio State University, and served as first lieutenant in the U.S. Army, stationed at the Yukon Command headquarters in Alaska.

Pierce is a member and former treasurer, deacon and elder of Boulevard Presbyterian Church, one of NCR's founding churches. He has also served on the boards of the Columbus Area Chapter of the American Red Cross, the Council for Ethics in Economics, Prevent Blindness Ohio and the Jazz Arts Group.


Several Upper Arlington residents were recently named "Ohio Super Lawyers 2009."

They are John W. Bentine, John J. Chester Jr., J. Anthony Kington, Pamela S. Krivda, Craig B. Payner, Frank A. Ray, Elizabeth M. Stanton and Geoffrey E. Webster.

They are attorneys with the firm of Chester Willcox & Saxbe LLP.
