Utility bill payment deadline approaches

All Upper Arlington households should have received their 2010 annual utility bills from the city for the stormwater utility, solid waste service fee and in some cases a neighborhood lighting utility fee.

Payment in full is due by Monday, March 8.

The stormwater utility funds are used to defray the costs of the city's deteriorating storm drainage system, which in some areas of the city are close to 70 years old. The solid waste service fee of $30 helps spread the costs for providing all components of solid waste services to the community more evenly across the community, and allowing the city to continue the collection of recycling materials at no extra charge.

Residents have several payment options:

Online -- visit www.uaoh.net and click on the "Online Payment" homepage link, with invoice account number and Visa/MasterCard ready.

By mail -- send a check or money order and the completed invoice return slip using the enclosed envelope.

In person -- visit the finance department during office hours at 3600 Tremont Road and pay by check, money order, Visa/MasterCard or cash. Invoice or invoice number is required.

By phone -- call the finance department at 583-5280 during regular office hours with invoice number and Visa/MasterCard at the ready.

Questions about invoices may be directed to the finance department at 583-5280. Additional details about stormwater and solid waste services can be found online at www.uaoh.net.
