Jordan Feyko, the son of James and Lori Feyko of Upper Arlington, is one of more than 3,000 candidates in the 2010 Presidential Scholars Program.

He is a graduating senior at St. Charles Preparatory School.

Inclusion in the Presidential Scholars Program, now in it 46th year, is one of the highest honors bestowed on graduating high school seniors. Scholars are selected on the basis of superior academic and artistic achievements; leadership qualities; strong character; and involvement in community and school activities.

A panel of educators will review the 3,000 candidates and select 500 semifinalists in early April. The U.S. Department of Education will announce scholars in May.

Nicole Plant of Upper Arlington was named to the fall semester dean's list at Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio.

She is a junior business administration major.

To be eligible, students must achieve at least a 3.55 GPA.

Ohio University has announced its fall 2009 graduates. Upper Arlington residents completing degree requirements were David Buck, Daniel Buttress, Paul Casamassimo, Kathryn Guy (cum laude), Samuel Henderson, Kathryn Ries, Danielle Walters and Corey Webb.

Ohio Wesleyan University has announced its fall 2009 dean's list.

Upper Arlington residents named to the list were Alexa Bean, Alice Brownell, Claire Paniccia, William Thieman and Sarah Whipps. To be eligible, students must earn at least a 3.5 GPA.
