I want to thank both Rob and Steve for serving on the board of the Upper Arlington Area Chamber of Commerce. Both served six years on the board.
Rob Radcliff served as board chair for two (and-one-half) years. I was fortunate enough to work with Rob upon coming to the chamber as president April 1, 2008. Not only did Rob help chart the waters in creating a new direction for the organization, he also shared his experience, time and talents as well as the lessons he learned along the way. Some of those lessons were: Trust your instincts, Rely on your mentors. Empower people. Rob is still very active in his role on the Business Advocacy Committee.
Steve Roeder served on the board in many capacities, offering his experience, energy and humor. Steve participated every year in the Taste of UA from afternoon until the last golf cart was safely escorted back to the Tremont Center. He even acted as one of the food judges in 2009.
Steve was very active in his role as Ambassador and attended most all of the lunches, ribbon cuttings, seminars and after hour's events. Steve has also been a significant contributor to the success of the Chamber Golf Classic and will share his time again for this year's event on May 24.
I would like to offer my sincerest thanks to both Rob and Steve for their continued support of this important community organization as we strive to make a positive impact for the business climate and quality of life in our community for years to come. It has been a pleasure and an honor working with both of you.

Becky Hajost is president of the UAACC.
