Yes, this wonderful park where my family has spent many happy hours walking and playing is covered with feces. I have nothing against dogs. In fact, I have a dog. I walk her in the park, on a leash, and I clean up after her.

I have overheard people calling Fancyburg a "dog park." First of all, Fancyburg is a "people park." Even if it were a dog park, what makes people think they don't have to clean up after their dogs? Our children play soccer in the areas that have become fecal mine fields.

I realize I may receive some hate mail from the dog lovers out there. I hope, however, that many U.A. parents are as annoyed as I am with this issue and will let irresponsible dog owners know how they feel. Signs are posted reminding people to keep their dogs on a leash. It's the Law.

In addition, bags are provided to clean up after your pet. Use them.

Upper Arlington has a wonderful park system. Residents need to be considerate and respectful of each other so we can all enjoy our parks together.

The media, even our own publication, ThisWeek Upper Arlington, chooses a biased approach to reporting actual facts.

I am referring to the March 25 issue, page A3, which showed a picture of a couple of people holding signs in support of the health care bill in front of Kilroy's office.

I was there that day. The Olentangy River Road was lined up five deep for a half-mile. Both sides of the issue were represented, this is true; however, those that were against this bill in its present form outnumbered those looking for government care by 10 to 1. What a shame that a true accounting of the day hadn't been photographed, for surely hundreds of people would've been more newsworthy than just the two.

I am getting sick and tired of the news media distorting and editing the actual facts. Why are they afraid to present things as they are? More importantly, what are they trying to hide from the public? Please. Just report the facts (truth) and let us decide.
