The Main Library is now accepting applications from teens wishing to be a high school summer interns or summer junior volunteers. For details, call Kate Hastings, manager of youth services, at 486-9621, ext. 325.

The "ESOL Book Club," for non-native speakers of English, meets at 10 a.m. Thursdays.

"English Conversation Class" for non-native speakers meets at 10 a.m. Mondays. Practice English with instructor Nancy Brown.

The Hard Tackers will perform at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, during the "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" concert series. This award-winning group performs traditional sea shanties, or songs sung by sailors to ease the burden of hard physical labor. The performers will also share information about the history of sailing ships.

Jedis of all ages are invited to "Star Wars Day" from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 1. Meet members of the Star Wars Ohio 501st Legion. Dress as your favorite character for the costume contest, or just come as yourself. Enjoy Star Wars-themed activities, including a showing of the original 1977 "Star Wars: A New Hope" on the library's big screen.

See "Llamas at the Library" at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 5. Join Gail and Doug Targett and their furry friends for llama stories and a chance to pet a live llama. This program will be held outside.

"Spring Storytimes" run through May 13. "Babytime" meets at 11:15 a.m. Mondays and 10:15 a.m. Thursdays; "Tales for Twos and Threes" meets at 10:15 a.m. Mondays and 11:15 a.m. Tuesdays; "Preschool" meets at 10:15 a.m. Tuesdays; and "Evening Storytime" meets at 7 p.m. Monday. No registration is required.

Lane Road Library

"Let's Speak English" meets at 1 and 6:30 p.m. Mondays. Non-native speakers can practice English with experienced ESL tutors.

Miller Park Library

Have some "Fairy Fun" at Make Believe Monday, to be held at 11 a.m. May 3. Enjoy stories about fairies, share a snack and create a fairy craft. For ages 2-5. Registration is required.
