On Thursday, May 6, ten adults from the Upper Arlington area graduated from the Leadership UA community leadership program in a ceremony at the Scioto Country Club. While the adult class focuses on leadership development, it also covers Upper Arlington's history, government, education, and community services.

Coming from all different business and organizational backgrounds, the members of the 2010 class are: Justin Bates, Eric Carine, Kaye Emans, Lauren Emond, Jason Fine, Kate Hemleben, Elizabeth Mangas, John Mangas, Rand McClellan, and Jason Wulf. Leadership UA graduates include those who are interested in making Upper Arlington and central Ohio a better place to live, to work, and to play.

As part of their course requirement, each class completes a community based project. This year's class has focused on raising awareness for the Sunny 95 Historic Barn Restoration project. To raise awareness of the project, the 2010 Class created and is distributing a "Barn" coloring page.

The page can be colored and turned in at the Barn site during the City of UA's Spring Fling on May 22 at Sunny 95 Park, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. When anyone turns in the page, they are entered into a raffle.

Also, raffle tickets may be obtained by donating funds to support the UA Community Foundation's efforts to raise the barn. The raffle prizes include an iPod Touch, Clippers tickets, movie passes, a UA Library basket, an AAA membership, toys from Larson's, and a Birthday Bowling Party at Ten Pin Alley. The winning raffle tickets will be drawn at 1:30 p.m. on the stage at Spring Fling on May 22.
