21st Century readiness for Every Student

The term "21st century education" has been used to describe a myriad of new trends.

Kay argues, however, that they all need to be rooted in the knowledge and skills each student needs to possess in order to be an effective global citizen and participant in the new global economy.

Kay will explain the importance of fusing the three Rs and the four Cs Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, Communication, Collaboration and Creativity and Innovation.

His presentation will focus on the importance of the four Cs, 21st century skills resources, and give examples of leading districts and models that incorporate the four Cs.
