Orange Leaf Yogurt, located at 3130 Kingsdale Center, opened on Oct. 8 in the Kingsdale Shopping Center. George is a husband and father of a new 3-month-old daughter. He attended the Scottsdale Culinary Institute in Arizona and is a classically trained chef.

Orange Leaf typically offers 16 flavors; however, the Kingsdale location offers 34 flavors that are rotated by request and demand of his customers. Because of George's culinary background, he also develops many of his own custom flavors with a selection of holiday and seasonal flavors. To top off the tasty yogurt flavors, 48 different toppings are available. It is a self-serve concept that features a Monday Madness special that offers customers an "all you can fit into a 24-oz cup" yogurt and toppings deal.

The business was the brainchild of George and his father-in-law and is a friend and family business. George looks forward to his new chamber membership and plans on participating in the many events offered by the chamber along with networking with other local businesses and being involved in the UA community. The business is starting construction for a second Orange Leaf location slated to open in Grandview in March of 2011.

Upon my departure, George offered me a sample and I can testify that it is one tasty treat. The Upper Arlington Area Chamber welcomes George and the Orange Leaf organization to the community and to the chamber.
