The city of Upper Arlington will host a pair of informational meetings for residents during the first week in December.

„ On Tuesday, Dec. 6, the topic will be the reconfiguration of Lane Avenue.

The meeting has been precipitated by both the Lane Avenue Corridor Traffic and Parking Study, and a private developerís plans to replace the site of the Lane Avenue Baptist Church with a mixed-use development.

Preparations are also being made to repave the Lane Avenue roadway in the spring of 2012, following AEPís underground utility installation project.

Representatives of the city will be on hand to discuss the possibility of continuing the three-lane configuration along the entirety of Lane Avenue, and solicit any input from the community as a whole. Meeting participants will be asked to weigh in on the idea for the three-lane continuation and, should this option be implemented, to discuss options for extra road width that would come available, such as on street parking.

The meeting will be from 7 to 8 p.m. in the Municipal Services Center, 3600 Tremont Road.

Questions may be directed to the engineering division at 583-5360.
