Councilman slates meeting at library

Wednesday February 22, 2012 7:46 PM

To the editor:

When I ran for city council, I promised I would work for three goals: responsive city government, increased citizen participation and responsible economic development. I promised I would hold regularly scheduled meetings to listen to your concerns and keep a dialogue open between residents and city council.

In an effort to fulfill my duties, I am holding my first “Meeting with Mike Schadek” on Thursday, March 1, at 7 p.m. in the Friends Theater in the basement of the UA main public library. I want to hear what is on the minds of our residents, including the “A to Z Connector”, the library levy, the police and fire pension levy, budget challenges for the coming year and any other items important to you.

This meeting is open to all and I hope you and your family will consider attending.

It is important to participate in your city government and I look forward to discussing the important issues with you.

Mike Schadek
