Annual Bid & Benefit will aid local schools

By ThisWeek Community News  •

The TriVillage Mentor League will hold its ninth annual Bid & Benefit from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at Our Lady of Victory Parish Center, 1559 Roxbury Road, Marble Cliff.

Mentor League board President Stephanie Brett said the event raises money and generates awareness for the TriVillage Mentor League's (TVML) community mentoring programs in the Grandview Heights and Upper Arlington school districts.

She said the event is "a fun, casual party" that features food from Steven's Catering, live music by John Popovich, a silent auction, cash bar and a popular wine raffle.

The cost is $40 per person; people are asked to RSVP by Nov. 9. Reservations may be made online at tvml2012.eventbrite.com.

Brett said the silent auction will offer something for everyone's tastes, including a golf vacation rental on Pawley's Island, S.C.; sports tickets and memorabilia, plus restaurant, hotel and spa packages, along with jewelry and gift items.
