Saturday April 13, 2013 6:19 PM

A Life Line Screening will be held Saturday, June 8, at the Upper Arlington Senior Center, 1945 Ridgeview Road.

Through ultrasound, the carotid arteries can be evaluated for the buildup of fatty plaque, which is the leading cause of stroke.

The Stroke, Vascular & Heart Rhythm Package includes four screenings: carotid artery, abdominal aortic aneurysm, peripheral arterial disease and atrial fibrillation.

To schedule an appointment, call the Hands number at 1-800-324-9458 or visit helpinghandsforhealth.com.

Those who take part in the Life Line Screening may receive $10 off any package of $149 or more. The Upper Arlington Senior Center also will receive a $10 donation for every screening participant.
