The Upper Arlington Commission on Aging will provide a venue for individuals to sell crafts, household items and other goods while also supporting the agency during its May Market Super Sale.
The Super Sale will be presented as part of the Upper Arlington Area Chamber of Commerce's May 4 Community Marketplace.
In addition to selling gently used equipment and other goods through the Community Marketplace, the Commission on Aging will rent tables at the Arlington Court Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 1605 NW Professional Plaza, to those who wish to host their own flea markets or garage sales.
"This will be a multi-vendor craft, vendor and rummage sale," said Amy Schossler, director of the UA Commission on Aging. "As hosts, we'll sell our own items, but we'll also sell vendor space, so individuals who may want to participate in (the chamber's) garage sale but don't have the space can rent space from us, and they can keep the proceeds from their sales."
Through the commission's May Market Super Sale, individuals or organizations can rent an indoor table at the Arlington Court Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for $40.
Outdoor tables will be available for $25.
"We'll have room for 40 tables outdoors and 15 tables inside," Schossler said. "On that day, garage sale buyers are all over town, so there will be plenty of traffic for you to sell your items.
"Instead of you having to organize a garage sale at your home all by yourself, buy a table from us and bring your items to sell while joining in on all the fun."
The commission's May Market Super Sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 4.
Table rentals can be secured by calling Schossler at 614-583-5326.
Additionally, those wishing to support the UA Commission on Aging can donate items to be sold during the sale. Donations will be accepted from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, at the Upper Arlington Senior Center, 1945 Ridgeview Road.
