Incoming Upper Arlington schools Superintendent Paul Imhoff will recommend Ryan McClure to be Upper Arlington High School’s new principal at the board of education’s June 26 meeting.
McClure has 20 years of experience in education, most recently principal at Darby High School in Hilliard.
“Ryan is a strong curricular leader who is on the cutting edge of instructional technology,” Imhoff said in a press release Tuesday afternoon, June 18.“But I am most impressed with Ryan’s dedication to kids and creating a positive school climate. He will be a great asset to our district.”
Prior to joining Hilliard City Schools, McClure was an assistant principal and athletic director for South-Western City Schools and principal at Licking Heights High School in Pataskala.
McClure replaces Emilie Greenwald, who was recently named Upper Arlington’s chief academic officer. Greenwald will step into her new role July 1; McClure will join the district Aug. 1.
