Upper Arlington Special Olympics will hold its own summer games, called the Upper Arlington Championships, Saturday, June 29, at Hastings Middle School, 1850 Hastings Lane.

Upper Arlington Special Olympics will hold its own summer games, called the Upper Arlington Championships, Saturday, June 29, at Hastings Middle School, 1850 Hastings Lane.

The games begin at 10 a.m. and run until noon.

Activities will include track and field events until noon, then a pizza party and dance for the athletes, families and friends from noon to 3 p.m. in the school gymnasium.

The group's bowling athletes will compete at 10 a.m. the same day at Ten Pin Alley, 5499 Constitution Blvd., Hilliard.

Upper Arlington Special Olympics offers year-round sports training and athletic competition to student and adult athletes with intellectual disabilities. The program includes soccer, swimming, basketball, softball, bowling and track and field.

Athletes and their families do not pay for participation in the program.
