The following programs are offered by the Upper Arlington Public Library system.

* Patrons of all ages can "Dig Into Reading" with the annual Summer Reading Club which runs through Aug. 3. Visit src.ualibrary.org to access the online summer reading page, and learn how to earn prizes just for reading favorite books.

* Kids ages 3-6 can enjoy "Books and Blocks" at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 6. Hear a story and then build a related creation using LEGO Duplo blocks. Registration is required.

* The "Parent-Child Newbery Book Discussion" group will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, to talk about My Father's Dragon by Ruth Stiles-Gannett. For those in grades 4-6 and a parent.

* "LEGO Lit" returns at 4 p.m. Thursday, July 11. Hear a story and build with our LEGOs. Registration is required.

* Ohio State University history professor John Burnham visits at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 11, to present "American Prohibition: Myth and Historical Memory." The program will focus on what really happened when the U.S. adopted the 18th amendment in 1919 and then repealed it almost 15 years later.

* "Summer Storytimes" run from through July 31."Babytime" (0-24 months) meets at 11:15 a.m. Tuesdays and at 10:15 a.m. Wednesdays."Tales for Twos and Threes" (2-3 years) meets at 10:15 a.m. Mondays and at 11:15 a.m. Wednesdays. "Preschool" (3 1/2-6 years) meets at 10:15 a.m. Tuesdays. "Family Evening Storytime" meets at 7 p.m. Mondays.

* Kids ages 5 and up can play "Dinosaur Bingo" at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 10. Snacks and prizes provided.

* Do you and your family love the show Iron Chef? Then join the "Cooking Caravan Chef Battle" at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 11. Two members of the Cooking Caravan will square off in a chef battle using audience members as sous chefs. For ages 5 and up.
