* The "Youth Chess Club" meets at 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1. For grades 3-6. Registration is required.

* The whole family will enjoy watching Journey to the Center of the Earth in 3D on the big screen at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1.

* "Books and Blocks" will meet at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3. Children ages 3-6 can hear a story and build with LEGO Duplo blocks. Registration is required.

* Author Lauri L. Wolf visits to give a talk about her book The B.S. of My M.S. at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7.

* Kids in grades K-4 are invited to "LEGO Lit" at 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8. Hear a story, then build a related creation using LEGOs. Registration is required.
