* Kids in grades K-12 may enter the poetry contest that runs from March 28 through April 4. Write an original poem and submit it to any of the UAPL's Youth Departments. Poems are open to creativity but limited to 500 words. Winners will receive a $10 gift card and have their work printed in the Summer Library Link publication. See youth staff for details.

* Meet the cast from "Columbus Children's Theatre: The Wizard of Oz" at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 29. For ages 4 and up. Free tickets are required.

* Join us for a showing of "Downfall" at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 3. This Academy Award nominee for Best Foreign Language Film is an unflinching account of the last days of Nazi Germany based on several books that featured firsthand accounts of the events.

* "Spring Storytimes" run through May 1. "Babytime" (0-24 months) meets on Mondays at 10:15 a.m. and Wednesdays at 11:15 a.m. "Tales for Twos and Threes" (2-3 years) meets on Mondays at 11:15 a.m. and Thursdays at 10:15 a.m. "Preschool" (ages 3 1/2-6 years) meets on Tuesdays at 10:15 a.m. and Wednesdays at 10:15 a.m. "Family Evening Storytime" for all ages meets Mondays at 7 p.m.

* "Let's Speak English" meets each Monday at 1 p.m. through March 31. ESOL adults can practice speaking with trained volunteers.

* The "Teen Wednesday" program at 5 p.m. April 2, will feature Blackout Poetry and Storytelling in honor of April's being National Poetry Month. For students in grades 6-12.
