The following programs are offered by the Upper Arlington Public Library system.

Main Library

2800 Tremont Road

* Kids in grades 5-8 are invited to "Graphic Novels: Design Your Own Character" at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 3. Meet local comic book artist Julian Dassai and learn to design your own graphic character. He'll have tips and techniques as you walk through the design process. Registration is required.

* The series of WOSU's "Columbus Neighborhoods" screenings concludes at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 8, with a look at the King-Lincoln area. WOSU Public Media Producer George Levert presents.


Lane Road Library

1945 Lane Road

* Kids ages 2 and up can make "Mother's Day Crafts" at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 8. Create something special for Mom, Grandma or other special person.


Miller Park Library

1901 N.W. Arlington Ave.

* Stop by anytime on Wednesday, May 7, to make "Mother's Day Cards" for your mother, grandmother, aunt or other special woman in your life. For kids of all ages.
