The city of Upper Arlington has scheduled a town hall meeting from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 21, to present two conceptual proposals for the development of property at Kenny and Tremont roads.
One is from Trivium Development LLC, which has proposed a 36,000-square-foot medical office project.
The second is from Daimler Group Inc. and Kohr Royer Griffith Inc. for a 40,000-square-foot office.
Upper Arlington City Council approved a controversial rezoning June 9 of a little more than 5 acres of city-owned property, changing it to an office and research district. The rezoning includes approximately 1.3 acres at “the point” where developers want to build offices.
According to information from the city, Saturday’s town hall meeting will be held at the Upper Arlington High School Auditorium, 1650 Ridgeview Road.
In a column to be published in the June 19 edition of ThisWeek Upper Arlington News, City Manager Ted Staton said an independent third-party facilitator will open the meeting, set the framework for the two presentations from developers and will coordinate a question-and-answer session. Staton said he and city staff members will attend to answer questions.
