Main Library

* Dr. Christopher Purdy wraps up our series of "Opera on Film" with a showing of Charles Gounod's Romeo and Juliet at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 20.

* Learn about "Gross Science with COSI" at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 24. Explore the inner workings of our bodies, ruminate about runny noses and dive into digestion. Registration is required.

Lane Road Library

* Come to the "Balloon Sculpting Workshop" at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 17. Erica Carlson will teach kids in grades K-5 how to make basic twists and coach them through making some of their own inflatable art. Registration is required.

* Teens can "Make Your Own Ice Cream" at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 19. For grades 5-12.

* Children ages 3-5 are invited to "Preschool Science" at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 24. Hear a story, then explore activity stations that introduce scientific concepts. Registration is required.

Miller Park Library

* Brian Griffin will lead "Sing-a-Story" at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 18. For preschoolers and their caregivers.

* Chris Quickert will get little ones moving and learning sport skills at the final "Fun and Games with Coach Q" at 11:15 a.m. Thursday, July 24. We'll play outdoor games that maximize participation, cooperation and fun! Registration is required. For ages 3-7.

* Kids will love playing "BINGO" at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 23. Snacks and prizes provided!
