West Side resident Colleen Bain Gold has been named vice president of the supportive housing program at National Church Residences (NCR).

West Side resident Colleen Bain Gold has been named vice president of the supportive housing program at National Church Residences (NCR).

In her new position, Bain Gold has operational responsibility for the Commons at Grant and the Commons at Chantry, NCR's two 100-unit permanent supportive housing communities in Columbus.

The facilities provide housing and supportive services for formerly homeless individuals and families who are candidates of the Columbus' Rebuilding Lives initiative, as well as low-income individuals and families. The Rebuilding Lives program is administered by the Community Shelter Board.

Bain Gold holds a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Ohio State University and earned a master of science degree in community counseling from the University of Dayton. In addition, she is a licensed social worker.

Prior to her position at NCR, Bain Gold served as executive director of Faith Mission/Faith Housing for Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio, as well as senior vice president of housing for the YWCA Columbus.
