10:42 a.m. July 10, in the 1100 block of New Dawn Lane: A woman reported a man robbed her in her apartment. He came in, said something about Rachel and then pulled a handgun and demanded, she said. She gave it to him and he fled. The woman said her purse contained cash, a checkbook and debit card.

12:12 a.m. July 13, in the 3000 block of LaVista Drive: A woman reported she was the victim of a home invasion robbery in which the robber stole her purse. It contained $42, identification and other items, she said.

4 p.m. July 9, in the 800 block of South Harris Avenue: Witnesses reported a man fired several shots from a handgun and then ran south on Harris.

6:34 a.m. July 7, UDF, 3535 Clime Road: A clerk reported a man asked for a pack of cigarettes and two cigars. As the clerk handed him the items, the man pulled a handgun and demanded cash. He took a small amount of cash from the register and the cigarettes and fled in a light blue Chevrolet.

3 p.m. July 11, in the 3600 block of Rockaway Lane: A man reported he received a check in the mail, along with information telling him he had been selected as a "Secret Shopper." He was to spend part of the money, but sent $2,980 to an address in Canada. He did so, only to learn that the check was fraudulent.

Between 4 p.m. July 11 and 9:05 a.m. July 12, in the 5100 block of Beacon Hill Road: A resident reported an intruder broke into this house and stole a computer tower and jewelry.

Between 11 p.m. July 9 and 7 a.m. July 10, in the 600 block of Platoon Drive: A man reported an intruder got into a car in his driveway and used the garage door opener in the car to open the garage. The intruder handled a number of items, but no loss was immediately reported.

Between 6:46 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. July 11, in the 4700 block of Hilton Avenue: A resident reported an intruder forced entry to her apartment and stole a television, Web cameras and a basket of clothing.
