Bob Croft, a 1994 graduate of Westland, was one of 11 inductees into the Ohio Wesleyan Athletics Hall of Fame during a ceremony at halftime of the football team's 24-8 win over Kenyon on Oct. 11.

Croft was all-NCAC three times in men's basketball. As a sophomore, he was third in the NCAC in scoring (18.4 points per game), rebounding (8.1 per game) and free-throw percentage (.822) and was first-team all-NCAC. He was second-team all-district and first-team all-NCAC as a junior, leading the league in scoring (19.6) and free-throw percentage (.850) and ranking second in rebounding (8.2) and seventh in field-goal percentage (.500).

His individual numbers declined his senior year, but the team went 16-10 for its first winning season in four years. He was 12th in the NCAC in scoring (14.3), third in rebounding (8.2) and led the league in free-throw percentage (.849). He hit the winner at the buzzer to beat Capital 88-87 for the Bishops' first win over the Crusaders in eight years. He was second-team all-NCAC. His career totals of 1,475 points and 700 rebounds rank seventh all-time at OWU.

Ohio Wesleyan softball coaches and players will hold two clinics focusing on developing fundamentals for girls in grades 5-12. The first clinic is Nov. 12 for hitting and bunting.
