The 8.3-mill operating levy will be on the May 5 ballot.

The meeting will start at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of Westland High School, 146 Galloway Road.

The levy, which would remain in effect for four years, is being sought as district officials have already made $8 million in reductions, according to the announcement.

"Find out how the money will be used, what can be reinstated and how this levy affects the district, its students and community," the announcement added.

Child care is available during the meeting. Those wishing to reserve child care space or who have questions may call 801-3027.
