AARP Foundation Senior Community Service Employment Program assists unemployed Franklin, Delaware and Licking county workers age 55 and over with securing employment. Columbus Cancer Clinic, mammograms, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 10, 14, 17, 21 and 28 at the clinic offices, 1699 W. Mound St. Exam cost is $105. Mammogram fees can be submitted to the patient's Medicare, Medicaid or insurance plan. Services are provided regardless of ability to pay. Central Ohio Diabetes Association, a "Cooking Matters For Diabetes: The Family Edition" series for school-age children and their parents on the topic of healthy eating, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Jan. 10 through Feb. 14 at 1100 Dennison Ave. This free program will cover self-sufficiency in the kitchen, including knife skills and reading labels. Participants will learn how to make a healthy meal for a family of four on a $10 budget. Each team takes home a bag of groceries after each class so they can practice the recipes taught that day. Columbus Speech & Hearing Center, Huntington Hearing Health Program in partnership with Huntington Bank, offering free hearing screenings from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, Columbus Speech & Hearing Center, 510 E.
