Central Ohio Diabetes Association, a "Cooking Matters For Diabetes: The Family Edition" series for school-age children and their parents on the topic of healthy eating, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Jan. 10 through Feb. 14 at 1100 Dennison Ave. This free program will cover self-sufficiency in the kitchen, including knife skills and reading labels. Participants will learn how to make a healthy meal for a family of four on a $10 budget. Each team takes home a bag of groceries after each class so they can practice the recipes taught that day.
