Accounting students at ODU will provide free income tax return preparation assistance for qualified individuals through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. AARP Foundation Senior Community Service Employment Program assists unemployed Franklin, Delaware and Licking county workers age 55 and over with securing employment. Computer Basics, a 20-hour, one week program presented by New Directions Career Center, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 22-26 at the New Directions Career Center, 199 E. Rich St. The first six hours are underwritten by Connect Ohio and the remaining 14 hours of classroom instruction are supported by a PNC Bank Foundation grant. Participants learn key board basics along with how to use a mouse to navigate the desktop, and learn how to use the computer to find out about available jobs and apply for them.
