First Saturday at Green Lawn, 11 a.m. May 4 in the Huntington Chapel in the middle of Green Lawn Cemetery, 1000 Greenlawn Ave. Jayne Davis of the Franklin County Genealogical and Historical Society will lead a program on gravestone rubbings. She will have a basket of tools she uses and will explain how to get started with this activity which many consider a hobby. Weather permitting, she will lead the group in doing rubbings after her presentation. Sierra Club and Aveda, Rock for Water fundraiser, 7 p.m. May 4 at the Woodlands Backyard, 668 Grandview Ave. Guests Fresh Wreckage, William Reach and Far Away Strays will offer live music. Mental Health America of Franklin County, presentation of The MOMologues, an annual signature event supporting the organization's maternal mental health division, Perinatal Outreach & Encouragement for Moms, 7 p.m. May 10 at the Makoy Center, 5462 Center St., Hilliard. This Boston-based production featuring WOSU's Ann Fisher, AJ Casey, and theater veterans Melissa Muguruza and Sonda Staley, is a staged reading about the realities of motherhood. Columbus Take Steps for Crohn's and Colitis Walk, 4:30 p.m. June 22, at the Franklin Park Community Gardens. Computer Basics, a 20-hour, one week program presented by New Directions Career Center, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 20-24 at the New Directions Career Center, 199 E. Rich St. The first six hours are underwritten by Connect Ohio and the remaining 14 hours of classroom instruction are supported by a PNC Bank Foundation grant. Participants learn key board basics along with how to use a mouse to navigate the desktop, and learn how to use the computer to find and apply for available jobs.
