Green Up Green Lawn Abbey, Family Weekend Columbus Volunteer Challenge, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 7 at the abbey, 700 Greenlawn Ave. The Abbey has received a $500 grant for landscape plants to go along the east side of the property and the plants must be planted as part of the Family Weekend Columbus Volunteer Challenge. Christ Child Society of Columbus, annual Red Wagon Fare luncheon, 10:30 a.m. Oct. 16 at the Villa Milano Banquet and Conference Center, 1630 Schrock Road. The event features a luncheon, a boutique of vendors from Central Ohio, Christ Child Society sweets, baked goods and crafts, as well as a style show provided by Chico's from the Shops at Worthington Place and Belles and Beaux Children's Boutique. Proceeds support the projects of the Christ Child Society. This year, Project Starfish, a tuition assistance program for the Christ Child-Child Care Center at St. Stephens Community House will be the focus of the event.
