Prairie trustees re-elected, liquor options approved

Prairie Township voters kept the incumbent township trustees in office Nov. 5.

Steve Kennedy received the most votes in a three-way race for two seats on the board with 940 votes. Fellow incumbent Ron Ball came in second with 853 votes and challenger Andy Andrews II garnered 577 votes, according to unofficial final results from the Franklin County Board of Elections.

West Side voters also approved three local liquor options, all for Sunday sales from 10 p.m. to midnight.

In Precinct 32-C, the vote for Polly's Tavern, 3882 Sullivant Ave., was 80 in favor and 72 opposed.

In Precinct 36-C, for TH Midwest Inc., doing business as Turkey Hill, 950 Georgesville Road, the liquor option received 69 'yes' votes and 61 'no' votes.

The largest margin of victory among the three went to Wailess LLC, doing business as Dirty Franks Hot Dogs, 2836 W. Broad St., in Precinct 57-B. Voters approved the request with a tally of 105 to 43.
