The 2014 Central Ohio Regional Scholastic Arts Awards exhibition is open through Feb. 1 at Columbus College of Art & Design's Canzani Center Gallery.
Artists in grades seven through 12 submitted 1,006 individual pieces and portfolios, 457 of which were selected by judges for the final exhibition. Included are photographs, ceramics, sculpture, jewelry and digital art.
Westland High School students who received recognition include: Sasha Bouaroy, two Silver Key awards and one honorable mention; Evan Hlava, one Silver Key award; Delaney Brochowski, two honorable mentions; and Rachel Benedum, Kaitlynn Frazier, Cheyenne Taylor, Van Uk and Tyler Weyand, one honorable mention each.
CCAD's Canzani Center Gallery is at Cleveland Avenue and East Gay Street in downtown Columbus. The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The gallery is closed on Mondays. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
