Boys basketball, wrestling coaches step down

Ready High School is looking for coaches in wrestling and boys basketball after the recent resignations of coaches in both sports.

Don Worstell, who led the boys basketball team to Division III state tournament appearances in 2010 and this year and to a 69-54 record in five seasons, is taking over at Marion Harding.

A Prospect resident, he previously spent two seasons at North Union, seven seasons at Marion Elgin and two years at Franklin Heights before taking over at Ready.

“The coaching search has already begun,” athletics director Michael Rossetti said. “We no doubt will fill the position with someone who understands who we are at Bishop Ready and will continue to grow our great basketball tradition. We thank coach Worstell for his time and hard work while at Bishop Ready.”

James Yonushonis stepped down as wrestling coach last month after two seasons and now is the coach at Cincinnati Moeller.
