The Westerville Symphony will present the final concert of the 2008-2009 Ron Lykins Masterworks Series at 8 p.m. Saturday, June 6, at Fritsche Theater in Cowan Hall, 30 S. Grove St.

The concert, titled "The Excitement," will feature works by Emil von Reznicek, Lowell Liebermann and Ludwig van Beethoven.

Tickets are priced at $8, $15 and $20.

American composer Lowell Liebermann will be in residence June 2 through June 6 with the Westerville Symphony and Otterbein College.

The residency will allow the symphony to prepare for its 8 p.m. June 6 performance of Liebermann's "Piano Concerto No. 2," and also will include programs and activities.

"Meet the Composer" will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, at the Westerville Senior Center. Liebermann will discuss his inspiration and process and also take questions. To attend, call Jeff Althouse at (614) 901-6564.

The "Piano Concerto No. 2" is one of more than 100 compositions by Liebermann.
