First Presbyterian Church of Westerville will offer a two-part presentation on advance directives from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 41 W. College Ave.

Advance directives offer a way to ensure that patients' wishes about medical treatment are followed when they are not able to make their own choices.

Margot Eves will be the presenter. Eves holds a juris doctorate degree and is a fellow with the Cleveland Fellowship in Advanced Bioethics at the Cleveland Clinic.

At 9 a.m., she will discuss what advance directives are; when and why they are used; the types available in Ohio; and how to complete them. At 11:30 a.m., she will lead a luncheon workshop where participants can fill out their own advance directives and have specific questions answered.
