The list of college majors for the top 10 graduating seniors at Westerville North High School ranges from anthropology to pharmacology.

The 352 members of the class of 2009 will graduate June 6 at 2 p.m. in the Celeste Center in Columbus.

The top 10 students -- the school's Academic Varsity -- were honored by the Westerville Kiwanis Club April 29 and presented with a certificate and a share of Bob Evans stock.

Students named to this year's WNHS Academic Varsity are:

Kevin Blakely is graduating with a 4.66 GPA. He plans to attend the University of Kentucky and major in chemical engineering. While at WNHS, Blakely participated in Faith-on-Eighth, I-CAN, Young Life, National Honor Society, soccer academy and Crew. He has been awarded a National Excellence Scholarship.

Taylor Farkas is graduating with a 4.55 GPA. She plans to major in pharmacology at either The Ohio State University or the University of Toledo. While at WNHS, Farkas was a member of the yearbook staff, Key Club and National Honor Society, and served as a senior and junior mentor. She has been offered a Maximus Scholarship at OSU and a Rocket Award at UT.

Keegan Hale is graduating with a 4.44 GPA. He plans to attend either Ohio Wesleyan University or OSU. While at WNHS, Hale was a member of the Warrior Way Leadership Team, the Warrior Gold Athletic Council, National Honor Society, Be-The-Change and led a home Bible study. He also played basketball and baseball. Hale has been offered a Legacy Scholarship at Wesleyan and a Maximus Scholarship and a Young Engineer Scholarship at OSU.

Gabriel Hall is graduating with a 4.56 GPA. He plans to attend OSU and major in history education. While at WNHS, Hall was a member of the Odyssey, Young Life and the school's mock trial team, as well as playing football for the club team Columbus Crusaders. Hall has been awarded a Maximus Scholarship at OSU.

Ellen Hamrick is graduating with a 4.59 GPA. She plans on attending either Ohio University or Oberlin College, where she will major in either anthropology or peace and conflict studies. While at WNHS, Hamrick founded the school's Invisible Children Club, was a member of NHS, I-CAN, the Continuous Sight Council, Recycling Club and the Ohio wildlife research class. Hamrick was awarded OU's Gateway Excellence Scholarship.

Nira Kadakia is graduating with a 4.57 GPA. She plans on majoring in pharmacology at OSU. While at WNHS, she participated in Interact, the Superintendent's Advisory Committee, NHS, In The Know, the Odyssey and the Mount Carmel East Medical Explorers Group. Kadakia was awarded an OSU Provost Scholarship.

Caitlin McKenzie is graduating with a 4.66 GPA. She plans to major in Spanish and pre-medicine at Notre Dame University. While at WNHS, McKenzie was a member of NHS, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Superintendent's Advisory Committee, and played varsity lacrosse. She has been awarded a full scholarship to Notre Dame.

Meghan Nestleroth is graduating with a 4.4 GPA. She plans on attending OSU, where she will major in pharmaceutical sciences. While at WNHS, Nestleroth was a member of the pit orchestra, NHS, and played golf and lacrosse. She was also a Girl Scout and a member of Kinderchor. Nestleroth has been offered a Maximus Scholarship at OSU.

David Tucker is graduating with a 4.45 GPA. He plans to attend OSU, where he has been offered a Maximus Scholarship.

Thomas Williams is graduating with a 4.45 GPA. He plans on attending OSU, majoring in either chemistry or anthropology. While at WNHS, Williams was a member of I-CAN, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, NHS and the cross country and track teams. He has been awarded a Medalist Scholarship at OSU.
