Registration is beginning for the sixth-annual Paul Price Golf Tournament, which will be hosted by Bob and Jeri Price on Sept. 13 at The Links at Echo Springs in Johnstown. The event is in memory of their son, Paul, who was a 2000 Westerville South graduate where he played golf and basketball.

Proceeds have moved the Paul G. Price Memorial Fund closer to its goal of $180,000 for the construction of an extension to the Westerville South High School weight facility. To date $137,000 has been raised.

Coach Jeff Riegler has partnered with the Buckeye Swim Club to bring a competitive program to area youth swimmers. The program will offer quality competitive swim instruction and the opportunity to compete in swim meets throughout Ohio. Swimmers should be able to swim the length of the pool. The Columbus Wrestling Club, in conjunction with the Beat the Streets wrestling program, will hold a youth wrestling tournament, with freestyle competition on Saturday and folkstyle competition on Sunday at the Ohio State Fair.

Divisions include from Tot (born in 2003 or later) to Masters (35-and-older). Registration and weigh-ins take place from 7-8:30 a.m. each day.

The Capital softball team and coach Nan Payne will play host to a fastpitch softball league for girls grades 8-12. Under Armour will hold an open tryout for high school baseball players in Ohio at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Dublin Jerome High School. Crew Stadium will play host to the third-annual Crew 5K Run/Walk Aug. 15. The course goes around the grounds of Crew Stadium and the Ohio Historical Society before finishing inside the stadium. All registrants will receive a T-shirt, a goody bag and a free ticket to the Crew's game against FC Dallas, which will take place at 7 p.m. that day.
