More than $1,200 in jewelry was stolen from 30 W. Broadway between July 15 and July 19, while the residents were away on vacation. According to police reports, a basement door was forced open and burglars went through drawers and jewelry boxes.

A woman called police at about 7 p.m. July 20 to report that an unknown man was in her car, which was parked in the lot of Alum Creek Park, 221 W. Main St. According to police, the man took an iPod and its docking station, which he then discarded as he ran away.

A woman's purse was stolen from her car between noon and 1 p.m. July 25 in the parking lot of MCL Cafeteria, 60 Westerville Square. Following the theft, her debit card was used at five gas stations in Columbus with a total of $250 charged, police said.
