Ascension Lutheran Church, 1479 Morse Road, will be the host venue for the Broadway-style musical drama "Mountain" at 7 p.m. tonight (Thursday).

The show will run for one night only, as the production kicks off an introductory tour across the Midwest. The public is invited to attend the show at no charge, but donations will be accepted.

"Mountain" was written by Jonathan Richard Cring, who was raised in Sunbury, and is directed by his son, Jon Russell Cring, who was born in Columbus.

The musical depicts the story of Jack Criswell, a star quarterback who is seriously injured in the fourth quarter of the final football game of the season.
