Westerville Freedom Trail-Underground Railroad, Oct. 2-4 at Heritage Park's Antrim Shelter. This is a participatory program for ages 12 and older in which participants will be "sold" into slavery at a mock auction, then escape with the help of conductors and abolitionists. The escape route is not handicap-accessible and participants are advised to wear sturdy walking shoes and dress for the weather. Refreshments and additional resource materials provided. The program will be offered in four sessions Friday and Saturday and three sessions Sunday, all held hourly beginning at 6:30 p.m. Limited to 25 per session. Fee is $10 per person.

The Highlands Park and Aquatic Center Master Plan will presented at an open house at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, at the Community Center.

Halloween Party for children age 8 and younger, 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, at Everal Barn in Heritage Park, 60 N. Cleveland Ave. Children can wear costumes and participate in seasonal crafts, play carnival games and Halloween bingo and walk the trick or treat trail. All activities are free.

Basketball leagues for children in grades two and three and grades four through eight. Pee Wee Basketball is an instructional league and includes non-competitive games played on lowered rims and with youth-sized balls. Skills testing for Bantam Basketball will begin in November.
