The Westerville Division of Police is accepting applications for the next Youth Police Academy, to be held from 4 to 9 p.m. July 26-30.

The Westerville Division of Police is accepting applications for the next Youth Police Academy, to be held from 4 to 9 p.m. July 26-30.

An orientation will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 24.

To be eligible, students must be in grades eight through 12 and have a minimum grade point average of 2.0.

A background process will be conducted on applicants, and class size is limited.

Terry Morse of Westerville has been hired by Professional Insurance Agents Association of Ohio Inc. to serve as director of membership services/sales.

Morse oversees membership recruitment and promotes PIA's member benefits program. He works with all PIA departments to coordinate member outreach efforts as well as manage membership retention.

Before coming to PIA, Morse was national sales manager for Gibson Guitar Corp.


Tony Hagood of Westerville, a Capital University senior, will perform his jazz piano senior recital at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7, at Capital University's Huntington Hall.

Hagood, a Westerville North High School graduate, will graduate from Capital this spring.
