• Meg Barkhymer, director of the Center for Career Planning at Otterbein College, will present ways to build a better résumé and discuss strategies for a successful job search and interview from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 29. Registration is suggested, but not required.

• Stop in to use one of the laptops designated for job searching and résumé writing from 9 a.m. to noon each Tuesday. Adult Services staff will be available to answer basic questions and provide assistance.

• A Knit Night will be held Tuesday, May 4, in the Youth Activity Center. Ages 7 to adults are welcome. Experienced knitters can make a Cat in the Hat potholder from 7 to 8 p.m. Beginners can learn how to cast on and change colors from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. A supply list is available online. Registration required.

• Children ages 8 to 12 will work on a live sketch show to kick off the summer reading program from 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesdays in May. Activity Center.

• Teens in grades six to eight can share reading, writing and illustrating stories; make friends; and get pointers at "Write in the Middle," from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 6. Activity Center.
