A 24-year-old man was arrested and charged with OVI and having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle at 1:13 a.m. July 5 at County Line Road and Ravines Way. The man, who also was in possession of what police suspected to be cocaine, was taken to the Delaware County Jail. Police pulled his vehicle over after he was seen driving erratically.

A 65-year-old man was arrested and charged with OVI in the parking lot of Kinder Care Learning Center, 33 S. Cleveland Ave., at 11:35 p.m. July 9. Police approached the man after someone called 911 to report a reckless driver.

A 44-year-old man was arrested and charged with OVI at 1:21 a.m. July 10 at 55 W. Schrock Road. Police stopped the man's car after witnesses called 911 to report the vehicle was driving on sidewalks and through people's yards.

A 20-year-old man was arrested and charged with OVI at 2:42 a.m. July 10 at East Park Street and South State Street. Police pulled him over after his vehicle was spotted without a front license place and with a broken left turn signal. A 16-year-old girl who was a passenger in the car was charged with consumption of alcohol and violating curfew through Delaware County Juvenile Court.

A 41-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were arrested for attempting to steal a $32 swimsuit from Kohl's, 133 Huber Village Blvd., at 9 a.m. July 10.

A 21-year-old woman was arrested and charged with OVI at 2:49 a.m. July 11 on Huber Village Blvd. Police approached the woman after they witnessed her pulling her vehicle into a parking lot and turning off the lights without exiting.

A painting valued at $80 was reported stolen from a booth at the Westerville Music and Arts Festival, at 5 p.m. July 11.

A 20-year-old man was arrested and charged with theft at 5 p.m. July 12 after attempting to steal a pair of lounge pants, valued at $22, from Kohl's, 133 Huber Village Blvd.

The roof and sides of the restroom facility at Hoff Woods Park, 556 McCorkle Blvd., were vandalized with spray paint between 5 p.m. July 12 and 8 a.m. July 13. The damage was estimated at $150, according to police reports.

A car parked in the lot at the Westerville Community Center, 325 N. Cleveland Ave., was broken into and a purse was stolen from inside between 5 and 5:30 p.m. July 13.

A 42-year-old woman was arrested and charged with felony OVI, drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia following an accident at South Sunbury and Dempsey Road. According to the police report, the woman had three OVI convictions in the last six years and was in possession of marijuana and a marijuana pipe. Officers took her to the Franklin County jail.

Calvary Baptist Church, 119 N. Cleveland Ave., was broken into between 11:30 p.m. July 13 and 3:50 p.m. July 14. Two DVD players, a CD player and a surround-sound system were stolen.

A 31-year-old woman and a 29-year-old woman were arrested at 3:24 p.m. July 15 for attempting to steal $74 worth of merchandise from Dollar General, 620 W. Schrock Road.

A 17-year-old employee was arrested for making $2,400 in false returns at Office Max, 87 Huber Village Blvd., between June 20 and July 12. According to police reports, he placed the value of the returns on gift cards, which he then used to make purchases at other Office Max stores. The boy was charged with theft through Franklin County Juvenile Court.

A canoe valued at $550 was stolen from a backyard on North West Street between 10 p.m. July 9 and 2 p.m. July 15.

A 19-year-old man was arrested and charged with OVI at 10:12 p.m. July 16 in the parking lot of Meijer, 50 Polaris Parkway. His vehicle was stopped after a witnesses called to say they saw an apparently drunken man enter the vehicle and drive away from the GetGo gas station on State Street at Maxtown Road. A 40-year-old passenger in the vehicle was charged with consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle and seatbelt violation. Both men were charged through Delaware County Municipal Court.
