Laster, a retired Ohio State University professor, also is chairman of the Delaware chapter's Family Support Committee and provides leadership for the Westerville Habitat Partnership, a group of seven churches and Columbus Academy, which supports DCHFH by volunteering and making donations.

Under Laster's leadership with the Westerville Habitat Partnership, WHP plans to conduct its first Habitat "Walls Build" project during Father's Day weekend. The walls will be part of the Delaware affiliate's 43rd home.

Laster lives in Westerville.
