America's soldiers was honored by the Westerville Sunrise Rotary's Field of Heroes May 28-30.

The Field of Heroes included 2,500 American flags atop 8-foot poles at the Westerville Sports Complex, 325 N. Cleveland Ave.

This year's Field of Heroes included 500 more flags than last year's event. Also new, a one-acre memorial of the Sept. 11, 2011, terrorist attacks was included in the Field of Heroes.

The memorial featured "9/11" painted in white on the ground and was surrounded by luminaries. Watch a video of the event by clicking on the "video" link above.
