Ohio Chautauqua, June 30 through July 4, will feature five diverse characters offering different perspectives on the Civil War. Events will take place at the Westerville Parks and Recreation Program Center, Westerville Public Library, Westerville Senior Center and the Everal Barn and Homestead.

The Family Concert Series welcomes Endless Recess on July 6. The programs are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays at the Everal Barn at Heritage Park.

Fantastic Friday offers an opportunity for youths to experience various attractions throughout the area. Department staff members will lead trips to COSI, Fort Rapids Water Park, the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium and more.

Highlands Park Aquatic Center passes are now available. The new center features two slides, a lazy river, a spray playground, an eight-land pool with diving well and more. Those who purchased a 2010 pass will receive 10-percent off a 2011 pass.
